Rubin R. Rios Rubin passed away January 8, 2005 at the age of 71 in
Martinez. A native and longtime resident of Brentwood, CA, Ruben is
survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Helaine Margaret, his sons,
Roy Robert and James Eugene, daughter-in-law, Sharon Marie,
grandson, Joshua Robert, granddaughters, Mary Alice and Sara
Michelle, sister, Eleanor Billingsley of Brentwood, brothers, Paul of
Oakley, CA, Joe of Phoenix, AZ and George of Pittsburg, CA, and
many loving nieces and nephews. He served honorably in the United
States Marine Corp during the Korean conflict from 1951 - 1954, and
was an active member of the American Legion local # 202 in addition
to the VFW and DAV. Retired after 40 years in service with Gaylord
Paper Co. in Antioch, CA. Friends and family are invited to attend a
Rosary at 7pm on 1/11/2005 and a funeral service at 11am on
1/12/2005 at the Brentwood Funeral Home. Memorial contributions
are suggested in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society, 1885
Oak Park Blvd., Pleasant Hill, CA 94523 or the American Diabetes
Association, 1900 Powell St., Suite 285, Emeryville, CA 94608.
